This is the single-player preview of Naughty Dog's The Last of Us, unveiled at the Taipei Games Show a couple weeks back. Touted as the first of its kind, tagged under the 'Survival Action' genre, the game is set in a post-apocalyptic, zombie-like-infested United States.
Players will take the role of Joel, who will have to protect a young girl, Ellie in their journey to the east coast. I think. See the parallels with Telltale games' The Walking Dead?
Anyway the game will be a PlayStation exclusive, slated for a May 7th release ...although I kinda question this move, since rumors of the PS4 circulating at the moment. Might as well make it a PS4 exclusive right? Or is it a last ditch attempt to make people want to buy a PlayStation3 still? Sneaky.
Regardless, get it. Definitely one of the standout titles of the year.
